Just pulled my 1990 420DA to inspect the bottom and found a few blisters.

Just a question, if someone would be kind enough to help:
The blisters are small and do not appear to be perforated at all. Do they have to be sanded and repaired, or can they be left alone, the bottom prepared and repainted, and expect anything but a re-do very soon?

Thanks for any help.

You say you puuled for a bottom "inspection". Why?
If you're due for a bottom job, anyway, go ahead and repair them at that time. If only a few of them, it's not a big deal. Good info above, there's more available @ West System's website.

The thing about blisters is they need to be marked immediately after haul-out while the bottom is still wet as smaller ones are not easily seen after the hull dries as they can deflate. Read this:

Thanks for the replies. Both links were helpful.

I am in the Arkansas River and pull the boat to clean the hull of growth every year.
