Bought 280DA

Everybody take a chill pill.

1) 25 hours is gatz, regardless the boat is new, and if it anything is not, they WILL make it right,
2) a cockpit cover, and slip for a season alone is enough to make this a good deal.

Glen, it is a lot of cash to lay out on a floating summer cottage, but there are worse mistakes (did I mention the Guards Red Porsche that the wife refused to ride in?).

Stop typing. This guy is an idiot.

Glen,

Please keep in mind the above post I am quoting is from a non-forum sponsor with a low post count.

With this being a public forum you get some of this.

Fortunately they are the minority.

As a fellow Sea Ray owner and Club Sea Ray member I apologize to you for his posting.

Glen,
I also purchased a 2007 280 Sundancer w/ twin 4.3Ls from a dealer a few months ago. The boat that I purchased had 10.4 hours on it. List of options include:

Camper Canvas
Windlass
Colored Hull (Black)
Painted bottom
Air/Heat
Butane Stove
15" Flatscreen TV w/DVD
Dealer Installed Garmin 440 GPS/Plotter

I negotiated a price in the low $90s. I don't know if this makes you feel better or not. But, thought I would share this data point. Good Luck with your boat. I take delivery of mine this week and can't wait!

As stated above if a cockpit cover isn't included I'd try for one of those. To me it is a must. 5 minute cover up is much better that 15 minutes when it's 90 degrees out.

Gee Pres thats quite a thesis your laying down. I'd have to question that "non-forum sponsor with a low post count" statement.

If the majority of the kinks are worked out of the boat. Then I think the 25 hours is a god send. If not - then - I would not be as excited about the boat. Sounds like the deal was sweeter - but no-one knew why. Now you know. The initial kinks are very frustrating.

I’m open to suggestions. My point was the reply he received is not typical for the contributors at this forum.

How about the guy has a 280 Sundancer and you know how those people are. They are worse then sailors. :smt101

Sorry. I'm the idiot. Every village needs one. Glen enjoy the 280 it's a great boat. Great information on this site too.
