We have some cracking fiberglass around the base of one of the bow rail plates. It also seems loose in a couple other areas. Probably some rot. The rail needs to come off for the fiberglass guy to see what's going on. It seems to be bolted in. Anyone have experience with removing the bow rail on a boat of our era? How do we get to the bolts from the inside? Thanks!

If you search for "bow stanchion" you'll get loads of hits. This is no small project from what I've see. Plenty of work to get to the bolts inside depending on which one you're trying to reach. Though a proper repair will likely require several to be removed?

Thank you! Wasn't using the proper search terms. And yes that's my fear. Will have to remove most/if not all.
