Hi,
Bravo 2 drive does not trim down and here are the symptoms. Please let me know where to start troubleshooting. Boat is in the water and hoping that there is a fix for this without having to pull it out.

1) The 'trailer button' works and drive came all the way up.
2) When the 'up button' is pushed, nothing happens; all silence.
3) When the 'down button' is pushed, trim motor makes noise but drive doesn't go down.

Fliuds look fine, there is 3/4 in the reservoir. I am attaching a picture. Thanks for your help in advance as forums always helped me in the past.

with mine the connector from the throttle switch was corroded, on the wiring harness about 2 meters down the wires, I had to remove the section under the throttle control to get to the wires

Thank you, when the down button is pressed the trim motor works which could potentially rule out corroded wire issues from throttle control.

try pushing down on the outdrive while someone presses the down switch, just in case its jammed in the fully up position. I know you have said there is plenty of fluid, but your sure there is some in there now its fully up? and your batteries are fully charged? my batteries were low once and the trim pump made a wimpy whirring sound, but wouldn't move the outdrive.

Sounds like the 'down' solenoid is not opening to allow fluid to flow back into the tank. I think I read of a way to bypass that but don't remember how at the moment.

I think you will find the solenoids are part of the electrics, not the hydraulics, you can use a jump wire strait to the battery on them to see if its them, or the trim switch that is at fault, but make sure you have no fuel fumes as it will spark. They just make the pump run one way or up, then in reverse for down. Well that's my understanding anyway

How long was it stored in the up position? full up without a touch of down to release the pressure can jam them. If you can, have someone stand/put their weight on it while you press the down button. If that dosent work, reverse the hoses at the pump to bring it down, the reverse the lines again.
Could be a spec of dirt in the internal valving

So, today i reversed the hydraulics at the pump ( changed up to down and down to up ) , pressed the up button and the drive came down. Atleast now the boat runs and it need not be pulled out. This also rules out the drive may be jammed option and now i think it boils down to solenoid or the pump.

Bad solenoid. Do yourself a favor and change both up and down. It's only a matter of time before the other goes. $20 part.

Strangely, jumped the solenoid today by connecting the red positive to the green wire. Trim pump activated but the drive didnt move down. So pump could be the issue ?

If you didnt reset the hyd lines back to normal, No
up (blue wire) is down and down(green wire) is up

Reset the hydraulic lines back to normal. Eliminated the option that the drive may be jammed and jumped the solenoid. The trim switches are fine. The only one left now is the pump. It is running but the drive is not moving down. Up is fine
