I hit a submerged log and figured something got broken or bent.

What are these busted parts? Anybody have an idea of repair costs?

The dealer is 20 miles down the lake. The boat is handling fine and has no vibrations or anything. Think it is safe to boat to the dealer, or should I borrow my buddy's trailer?

First major repair, woo-hoo!

It's hard for me to see in the picture, but it looks like part of the gimbal ring has been sheared away (upper circle). If so, I would defnitely borrow a trailer.

I googled Gimbal Ring. Yes, there is a section of that sheared off. Also a chunk out of the fin-like part under the outdrive.

I actually have driven it a couple hours since I hit the log. Did not notice any problem until I was trying to steer at idle speed when trimmed up pretty high. It veered off to the right until I trimmed back down again.

I would have the dealer come and get it or borrow a trailer from the dealer/buddy - make sure the trailer is a good fit for you boat. I certainly would not run the boat to the dealer by water.
