Am considering Amtico for cabin flooring. I found this picture but have no idea who's it is or the flooring manufacturing/color specs that it is. Anyone have any experience/comments with Amtico? Would love to see your pics and hear of the particular floor you used too...
I think "TrafficMaster" at the Home Depot has been used by quite a few CSR members in the past. It previously had a different name but it's the same vinyl with the adhesive edges. Great for wet locations. If you a search here for "cabin wood flooring" or "cabin vinyl flooring" I bet you'll get a bunch of hits, with pictures. Lots of great projects out there including some real wood ($$$'s) too....
I don’t know yours .... but I saw this on Facebook the other day 420/44. I liked the color and how they did the trim and the tracks..... I asked the company for a sample but they never responded.
@villain style ... the post on face book the owner said the contractor made the trim pieces out of cherry. The trim around the step down to the aft and the door tracks and around the floor panels. You can see the stain isn’t the same.... probably tough to match or a bad camera pic
Check Lumber Liquidators. I'm using Tranquility 2mm Mount Craig Cherry self-stick vinyl plank flooring
Marina just opened Thursday at 7AM. Gotta get back to completing this project. Instead of sanding and filling imperfections in the floor, I am building a subfloor with new hatches before laying down the plank flooring. will post pcs.
I was going to use marine plywood and raise the floor an inch or so myself. Looking to see how others did the curved sections on the floor. Thanks for the reply!!
My intention is to create a template on both sides of the double hatches and transfer to the subfloor before cutting. It may be a few pieces, but I will be able to put them together like a puzzle.
Here's the funny part: I over estimated how much material I needed, and even buying 3 boxes was way over. I'm using the first box as a subfloor (almost finished3 small puzzle pieces left towards the V Berth). Tomorrow evening I will take out the 2 storage hatches in the floor, use my template to locate and predrill the holes for the table base then start from the stairs with my tracing paper and build my pieces toward and around the hatch openings.
