Haha - The most critical cabinet!I had a stuck latch once and it produced mild panic on my part. The latch was on the liquor cabinet. That latch has been replaced.
Good info - Thanks!
Why the bleach for your water tank?
Very good to know - thank youLots of threads on here about sanitizing water systems. Most marina's have potable water. But water that sits in their pipes and then goes through a hose to sit in your tank "might" go sour or have bacterial growth. About a capful (small amount) of unscented bleach to 40 gallons of water increases the chance it will stay clean. More is not necessary or good for pipes/seals.
Spring routine is to use more bleach in the initial fill/flush cycle, then revert to the capful per fill.
These push button latches are not long enough to replace a sticky drawer. They will work for cabinets. Anyone know the item number of the longer version for a drawer? Not seeing them on Boat Outfitters site.Yes - I just bought 9 of the push button latches to replace mine which will cure my issue

Just called Boat Outfitters and they do not carry a longer one. What stinks is I had to basically destroy the old gold outer ring when pressing it out so I doubt it can be reused. Will comb the web and share what I find. You are correct - The ones I bought are too short for the cabinet drawers. If anyone does find the longer ones, please let us know!
Always liked repairs to radar units on our F-4's aboard the carrier - "What fixed it?".."We 'malletized' it"...rubber hammers work in amazing ways!!!My hammer, and after maybe 20 firm taps the button popped! Needless to say it has been replaced!
Thank you everyone for your replies
have you tried Flounder pounder...that's where I get mineJust called Boat Outfitters and they do not carry a longer one. What stinks is I had to basically destroy the old gold outer ring when pressing it out so I doubt it can be reused. Will comb the web and share what I find.
Ok - Yes, I destroyed the gold ring to remove it also. The cabinet doors that have the sprung door closers are the ones I have replaced so far. As to the 3 drawers, I'm still trying to figure out what I can do with those. So for now, I have a mix, which is pretty tacky, but I'm sure there is a solution. If I find one I will post it here.Just called Boat Outfitters and they do not carry a longer one. Just ordered the button and ring only. Hopefully arrives before the weekend. Will let everyone know how the install goes. If all goes as planned all gold rings will be gone asap. My dockmate has an 06 with all brushed nickel hardware throughout the cabin. Looks very modern.https://www.fpmarine.com/searchresults.asp?Search=push+button+&Submit=
Here is the exact FP page for getting the replacement buttons and rings. This makes it very easy, so the original mechanism is kept.
