Can seller just allow contract to expire?

For what it's worth, in my searching, through Sea Trials, negotiations, and Full Boat Surveys -- I learned one shortcut to save some time and money. My first survey after Sea Trial and negotiations will always be the engines and transmissions! Less cost, saves time, and conclusive for a pass / fail.
