Hello! New poster here. Last summer we sold our 240 Sundancer and purchased a 2006 320 Sundancer. She needs some TLC but she has very low engine hours and the salon is in great shape. It is like night and day when you get a boat big enough to stand up and turn around in. It's the little things... LOL We had her transported from out of state and in a slip for a hand full of weekends before the season ended. So needless to say we can't wait for boating season to begin! Oddly enough she had never been named so we are heading up this weekend to put her name on while she is in storage. Husband doesn't know it, but I'm bringing some champagne to toast the event. Last year we upgraded the sink and faucet in the head, new faucet for the cockpit bar sink, had new teak stairs and a table made to give her a little facelift. Worked on those stairs in the middle of the night with whiskeys in hand. It was great :) We still need some canvas made and gel/fiberglass work done on the arch and top deck. It has been hell finding anyone to come to the boat to quote us or do any work. They all want you to store your boat over the winter with them so they can do the work there. Easier said than done. We don't feel confident attempting the gel/fiberglass repair ourselves. My husband and I love reading this forum and the wealth of information that everyone shares with one another. Thought I would share some photos of our new (old) girl. Our boat is a baby boat compared to our slip neighbors, but she is perfect for us! Would love to see some of your pics and hear about improvements you've made on your SR.

Welcome to CSR, beautiful boat you have.

No, we did not make the table or stairs. I wish we had that kind of skillset! We had those made by Mariteak in Florida. Pricey as hell but they do beautiful work. Worked with a guy named Henry. He was very patient while I obsessed over getting just the right color on that table. We removed the weird steps that were original and put the new ones on. We removed the old sink in the head and retrofit a new one I found on line. The sawsall made quick work of that task. Replacing the faucets were an easy swap.

What faucets did you do? Do you have links ?

Cockpit table came out super nice too

I also want to welcome you to the best boating forum anywhere! Anything you can think of with regard to your boat and the boating life is to be found in this forum. You will also find many many good folks who are thrilled to help you with any questions no matter how trivial they might seem.

Having said that, I'll stick my two cents in as an owner of a blue hulled boat.....have a professional detailer clean, compound and wax your boat in the beginning of every season. It's really the way to prevent the blue gel coat (white too) from fading and hazing. Obviously you should wash it dockside after any use in saltwater but that detail job will keep it gleaming.

Thank you for the welcome! I’ve looked on the site for several years for information and entertainment. I didn’t create an account until we bought the 320 last fall. I agree about the waxing. I think if you own a boat with a colored hull, you have to be pro wax on a yearly basis. Our 240 had a blue bottom and we kept her waxed yrly and she looked great. Our new (to us) 320 has a black bottom and we have already had her waxed and buffed top and bottom and ready to start the season. We boat in Lake Michigan so no worries about salt

That's a beautiful boat. I think the reference to the blue hull was in regards to the sides not the bottom. They can be kept nice, but it definitely requires attention. Freshwater actually tends to be a little more difficult as it usually spots more than salt.

That's a great looking boat! Welcome to CSR

Get ready to enjoy that boat to the fullest. When our girls were young we added the Taylormade " Fastback" enclosure. It was great. We traveled both sides of the lake doing all maintenance ourselves. Only issue was one of the impellers had me cussing out Mercury engineering as the blood rushed to my head. Make a kit of spares for impellers and filters ( Shot glasses too)
