I just thought about captain Chesapeake and did a search. The things that run through my head sometimes. I figured some here grew up watching this.

Cleveland had Captain Penny, railroad engineer.

Guy had rough life. 3 marriages, #2 splatted off the Cuyahoga River bridge. Dead at 47 from lung cancer.
He made a lot of kids happy.

We had "our gal Sal", Sally Starr, in Philly. Here is a pic of her (left) at Dredge Harbor Yacht Basin for some award event, with Miss Dredge Harbor, probably from the late 60's or early 70's. I don't have any distinct recollection of this, but my father took this, and several other pictures that day. I read that she had a boat there.
