Has anyone replaced their fuel sending unit with centroid? I was going to replace my this Saturday, when I realized that the screws where going to be to short. I can use a self-tapping screw # 10. The screws that are on it now(3/4 inch long)are what they call self-Threading type B. The tip of the screw is flat with very coarse threads. Any suggestions?

Thanks Mike,

Unfortunately, mine are not. I just got back from a hardware store where I found the same thread type in SS, all though it does not have a blunt end. How are your sending units working out for you?

I just did mine, and so did jason. I had threaded screws in mine.

Mines OK I think Jasons is working OK to.

If you want a sender without any moving parts or any parts immersed in fuel check out the SSI unit here...

I installed one in 2010 and it's been very accurate and problem free. My other tank still has the stock sender, so I can really see the difference between the two units. No bouncing fuel gauge with the SSI unit either!

I forgot completely about that time of sending unit. It would be ideal, because I would not have to cut a hole though the floor under the ice box to get to my sending unit. Something to think about!
