They are. I think they are original to the boat. The raw water pumps are relatively new, maybe 3 to 5 years old.

How do you know it's overheating?
Temp gauge will peg out. She has always run at 140ish
that one hose was very hot to the touch, you could not hold it at all. All other points were cool and had no issues. Those areas felt as they always have. It’s just that one hose from the pump to the base of the thermostat

Shoot the t-stat housing with an IR gun, a 160 degree hose will be hot.
I had already planned to replace the housings and the stats. The housing (both) are in rough condition from years of service, so it was time for both, that was planned before this started .

As Scofflaw stated, I would hit it with an IR gun 1st, just to satisfy the OCD.
Your temp gauge or temp sender may have gone south. Always better to troubleshoot / check 1st than throw money at it 1st.
BUT...... What you are describing does seem excessive.
