Question, I tried to hook up city water from the dock and use its pressure instead of my holding tank and pump. after Being hooked up and water pressure applied, I still don’t have water pressure in the boat. All other boats I have had, I’ve never had this problem. am I missing something?

Well....to start with I'm sure you meant the "water tank and its pump" instead of the holding tank and its pump.

Assuming you hooked up city water to your inlet valve (which may or may not have a cutoff on it) and it is turned on at the source ........it should work.

It may be possible that a previous owner had a problem with it and it is modified, capped or disconnected.

It maybe useful to follow the line in from the inlet and see if a valve has been installed on the line to modulate pressure or provide a cut off.

Thank you, and yes I meant water tank. No caps, no valve and no regulator.

Absolutely clean those screens….and as stated above follow the water lines. There is going to be a water distribution manifold which has levers which could possible be closed. Mine is in a small cabinet in my midberth.

Thank you, might replace the shurflow.. never had this issue before on our other two boats.
There is a pressure regulator (Shurflow is one that SR used, my boat has Jabsco) behind the mounting board - usually a pain to get to. They have been known to stick and not allow water pass especially if never used.
One thing about dock water hooked up to the boat - always turn it off when not on the boat.
Another thing sometimes overlooked is to make sure water isn't backflowing into the water tank when on dock water.

I had the same issue what I did to prove the regulator failure theory I backfead the city water from the dock into the faucet adjacent to the pressure regulator that faucet freshwater washdown, bypasses the regulator it will determine if it is bad or not
