Cleaning the air filters

Howdy,

I want to clean my air filters. The Cat manual lists a cleaner and an oil by part numbers but no other info. Anybody know what these materials are and if there are offsets available?

I use K&N air filter cleaner kits (cleaner & oil).

I am planning to replace the filters on my 2000 410. There are areas that look a little thin as far as the gauze material goes. I am not a big fan of oiled gauze for diesel applications, but they do operate in a relatively low dust environment, so looking for direct replacements from K&N or similar.

Do you have Caterpillar OEM filters or Walker Air-sep's? The cleaning materials and methods are different for each.
