My new to me 310DA sat in saltwater for years.
Anybody know the best and correct way and products to clean both the props and rudders?
Thanks,
Bob

Somebody must know how and what to clean these with??

Barbacles and 10 years of crude. They are bronze props and I think the rudders are the same but I am not sure.
Used the pressure washer and got a lot of it but, still have a long ways to go.

You need to scrape barnicles off, then use a light steel wool pad to remove as much by hand, finalize it with a mild acid. Becareful with the type of acid you use, some can damage your bottom paint. I recommend Barnicle Buster, but use as directed on around bottom paint.

Humm, I may sell that as I distribute the CRC line. I will need to check it out. THANKS

Scraper works best followed by fine sandpaper. Then spray with Zinc Coat. Works great to keep barnacles off. I used it on my shafts and props this season and at mid season haul out, there were no barnacles at all. We'll see what it looks like in a couple of weeks at winter haul out..
