Can anyone give me some advice on getting the cock pit speakers on my 2005 320 Sundancer to work? I remember having the same problem last year after coming out of winter storeage and the mechanic charged me $120.00 to reset something. I have a Clarian soundsystem and everything works fine in the cabin but nothing in the cockpit. I'm sure it is something simple.
Thanks

As mentioned above, it is likely the "fade" knob on your stereo is turned to send all the sound into the cabin. Try turning that to get the settings the way you want them.

I have tried adjusting the fade and the balance right and left and nothing changes. I can feel a vibration on the cock pit speakers so it seems like it is a balance adjustment but I can't get it to work.

The Amp has to be on - to let the speakers work.

Dave, I go thru this same thing every spring. I am not sure if this is your case however. There was a power loss bulletin back in 2004. There is a procedure to follow at the radio itself. I dont have it in front of me though, (its in the boat). You have to push a few buttons while holding another. I will post the procedure if you still need it the next time I am at the boat.

Brian,
I would really appreciate it if you could. I think last year my mechanic called Clarion and got the procedure and charged me the $120.00 I would prefer to push the buttons myself.

Here's what I have as a guide to fix this every spring. I haven't done it this season yet, but from what I recall it worked last spring:

Clarion Settings Tips

MAKE SURE STEREO AMPLIFIER BREAKER IS ON

Setting LOW PASS FILTER
This function allows you to set the low-pass filter
for sub-woofer output.
• The tactory default setting is "REAR". – REAR IS WHAT I NEED TO PLAY COCKPIT SPEAKERS.
1. Press and hold the [T] button for 1 second or
longer to switch to the adjustment selection
display.
2. Press the [<~] or [~>] button to select "SW
LPF" ..
3. Turn the [ROTARY] knob to select the
setting. Each time you turn the [ROTARY]
knob, the setting changes in the lollowlng
order:
REAR ~.LPF 50 ~ LPF 80 ~ LPF 120
4. Press the [T] button to return to the previous
mode.

TO ADD VOLUME TO CABIN CLICK ON A-M UNTIL SEE FADE, THEN ADJUST DOWN/UP BUTTONS TO DESIRED SETTING.

Good luck,
Alex.

Alex,
You nailed it, that was exactly what needed to be done. I have a copy of the instructions on the boat so I can remember what to do next spring.
Thanks,

I had a fuse in the engine compartment for my cabin amps go this year, might want to check that.

I'm glad it worked for you. It's a bit frustrating going throught this every year, but this quick guide comes very handy.

I'm having a similar issue. Had the stereo on for a while as I was cleaning my other boat. All of a sudden the sound went down. For some reason the Cockpit speakers quit working but the cabin still do. I assume the AMP is running the cockpit speakers. I checked the fuses on the back of the amp and they are fine. I looked at the Sea Ray manuals and the wiring diagram shows there should be an in-line fuse. Does anyone know if this is true and if so where is it located. I also checked the breakers under the dash and the one for the stereo was popped out. I pushed it back in but still no sound out of the cockpit speakers. There were no settings changed on the stereo when this happened. Any suggestions. This is a 1998 model.

possible mute switch on dash and, if you have them, switches for cockpit and cabin speakers (they are turning on separate amps for cabin and cockpit) - they are mounted by cabin door (not all boats have them), bad stereo, bad amp, loose wires behind stereo etc

Same issue yesterday. CAbin works fine, nada in the cocckpit speakers. Where is the reset button for the fuse on the amp?

Found the fuses. A ok. Where is the freaking breaker??? Help. I need my music
