Hi all,
I'm having trouble with domestic voltage, seems I don't have any.
I noticed the other trips when I press them have movement, but the control station is solid, what does it control, is it supposed to be like that, does it need fixing, how do I do it.
Any info greatly appreciated.

Tony.

Hmm, control station trip seems ok, still no domestic power, voltage at batteries ok.
I have 2 X 85 amp hour for cranking, and 2 X 110 amp hours for domestic.

So, check your earths, could be a bad one some where, also, I wonder if your alternator can charge all those batteries?

Okay so batteries are knackered,
Bank one reading 2.4 volts, scrap!
Bank 2 reading 12.4 volts.
I'm told bank 2 are probably knackered 2, does anyone agree?

If the battery is reading 2.4 volts It is shot. Replace . The one with 12.4 volts is probably recoverable. Yank it out and put a good charger on it or take it to a shop and have them recharge it. They will do a test to make sure it's ok before they do a recharge.

Lol Mike!
Yes Ike, that's what I was thinking bank 2 does seem to crank the engine over ok, but I have a dim cabin light and cockpit lights for a short while then nothing.

Because 12. 4is about the minimum it takes to power your lights. If you turn them on the voltage gradually drops below 12 volts and everything goes dim, if it drops below 11 volts nothing will light.

I see cheers Ike, I was running the engine and measured the charge at about 14.2 volts but still no lights after a while so I'm starting to think bank 2 are dud as well.

It seems I have a ad earth, I ran a new cable up to the mains board and now everything works fine.

Good call about the batteries reading 12.4 volts Ike, charged them up and they seem fine.

Good to hear it. Bad grounds can sometimes be hard to diagnose.

Bad connections. Electrical problems are almost always bad connections.
