Has anyone painted their white dash to get rid of glare?

After our first extended cruise in the 300DA I know I have to do something about the white dash. We were in heavy weather and had the canvas up ... it was impossible to see out through tht windshield. I finally spread a dark towel on the dash and I could see.

I want to make a permanent adjustment asap.

Thanks

Mine is being re-painted tomorrow with a black (flat, non glossy) awl grip. I'm told it will alleviate that problem....guess I won't truly know until the weekend.

The option available is a tan colored dash which takes care of your issue. This is a SeaRay option, but a MarineMax dealer will know what your talking about. I'm not sure black is what you're really looking for?

We ordered ours with the "nickel" colored helm (color option for 2006) and we are so glad we did.

:huh:my helm is painted black matte finish and think it is to hot from the sun and thought it would look better and cooler?? I did not think of glare if I used flat white?

Gray with a blue tone flat should look at home on boat that is white with blue stripes, thanks
