I ordered a couple of samples from Corinthian and requested a quote. I'm definitely going to place an order.

I sorta took random guesses on the colors. The original snap in carpet was a light beige color, which IMO was a bad choice. Docks get wet and wet docks are dirty, so I chose all darker colors. I got one sample of the Berber with the Aqualoc, and 2 samples of AqauWeave, one with each backing.

Now I know that everyone is down on the Berber these days, but I only plan on installing the carpet in the evenings when I am just chilling, or out on a date. During the day, I'm fine with the bare deck. The primary purpose for the carpet will be dockalounging.

I do like the AquaWeave, but I'm wondering about how walking barefoot on the AquaWeave feels if it gets any dirt and sand on it. Seems like sand would just sit on top of it and feel, well... sandy. I'm leaning towards the Berber for that reason. Sand and dirt sink into in, and you feet stay cleaner (I think - that's what I am asking).

I did the aqua weave with aqua lock a few years ago….. i love the stuff. You will put it in and won’t take it out. If you get a sand problem just hose it off

I did black Pearl

I agree with Blueone, it is a very sturdy product that is easy to clean/care for. Much better than carpet! Feels fine on bare feet. Not sure how hot it gets under the sun as it is my cockpit only not the swim platform.

The AW will definitely get quite warm in direct sun. But as far as your question about sand goes - yes, I suppose you would "feel" the sand more than with carpet - but I would look at this as a plus since it doesn't actually sink into the carpet. As noted above, it is soooo easy to clean. Just give it a flip over the side of the boat and put it right back down. If needed, hit it with a hose and it will dry in minutes. I'm sooo done with carpet! :)

Where did d you get the second message?
It was weird. I deleted what was there and tried again...

Replaced carpet in our 44DB with the Corinthian Berber in 2016. When we bought the 420DA in 2020, replaced that carpet with the Corinthian AquaWeave. Never the Berber ever again. The AquaWeave never stains or shows any dirt no matter what. After a weekend with the kids in the sand and water, put a water hose to it and it is dry in no time. Get the Berber wet and not only does it weigh a ton, it takes forever to dry. No way would I ever have Berber again.

No clue what happened.

When you do a search on this whole paragraph;

It comes up with this thread;

But, oddly enough, the post is nowhere to be found.

Ya know... I feel kinda foolish after reading your post. The carpets on a 260 really ain't all that big are they?

Shaking them over the side. Brilliant!

The samples I ordered were Plank Flint and Dark Grey Fusion. They look really nice. I'd love to see a picture of those installed if anybody has them.

Just another suggestion to go with the Aqua Weave over carpet from Corinthian. We are on our fourth season and have no complaints. The only slight issue is it does get warm in the direct sun with bare feet, but a quick rinse and it stays cool.

We upgraded to SeaDek through the whole boat. So soft and comfortable on bare feet, and absolutely cool in direct sun. Best decision I ever made.

I too was concerned about cleaning it. As delivered the dealer's mechanics were slobs and left oil and grease boot stains all over. I bought a spray bottle of the approved cleaner and every spot cleaned up 100%.

LOVE the look and feel of the cockpit floor coverings.

HATE the extra work they create

LOVE the look and feel of the EVA Foam

HATE the lifespan in the SW Florida direct sun

HATE the forever glue used on the floor

If there was an EVA foam product that would LAST, I'd be all in.

Till that happens, I'm on the sidelines with my factory cockpit.

BEST !

I sent an email to Corinthian and never heard back from them. I was talking to another member here about weave and he gave me a price. Just wanted to get a price back from them. Do you know if they monitor the site?

I don't think they do. I would just call them on the phone.

Actually, there is no such thing as Corinthian leather. It was merely a marketing ploy thunk up by Lee Iaccoca to sell cars.

If you want true fine, rich leather you want Bridge of Weir, a Scottish firm. That's what is used by Bentley, Jaguar, Astin Martin, and even Lincoln.

Infinity Weave Matte Gold with the heavy backing
Simply the best in my opinion.

I'd be careful going with a dark color as it can get a hot on bare feet if in the sun.
Snap down - two minutes to pull it all up and take off the boat to clean underneith or clean installed.
