Courtesy lights

So i am needing to replace my courtesy lights. We have the standard Attwood lights with an incandescent lamp. The heat from the lamp has melted the socket some and will need to be replaced. I saw on a post someone used this as a replacement. Pretty much the same look. My only concern is these are showing 1200 lumen output. That has got to be crazy bright. Any thoughts?

Agreed too bright.

I have the same boat as you (earlier edition) and swapped the 4 hardtop fixtures for these

Then used the best components from the hard top lights and courtesy lights (same fixtures in my boat) and installed the appropriate led globes from Marinebeam in the restored courtesy lights.

How did you wire the dual color feature? Did you just drop another wire through the arch?

Those are underwater-rated and only $30 ??? I would be using them in the cockpit so thanks for the link, as these would be perfect in my case for courtesy lights.
