67 degrees today... supposed to be 29 and snowing on Friday... going have a high of 44 tomorrow... and hell of a front going through.

This is the crap that causes condensation in a boat. My house was soaking wet today on the outside because it was so warm the house surface was cold.

It was 22 here Monday AM, this morning it was 40. Our weather this winter has not been typical. We've been all over the place, 2 weeks of snow, 1 week of torrential rain, 2 weeks of fog and an air inversion and bad stagnent air.

We seem to be in a more normal pattern.....until Saturday

What you will get tomorrow I have today. Almost a 40 degree swing from 3pm Tuesday (near 70) to 3pm Wednesday (near freezing). Throw in a little rain & it gets plain nasty!

I wish Al Gore would fix it. Again.

We had to have gotten about 12" of snow today. Makes for beautiful scenery. The are talking here that we tied/broke a record of the most snowfall for the month of January.

How many days until boating?

I think Al Gore was in Washington today talking about clobal warming agian. It is getting hotter, only problem it is also getting cold out there. We had snow last night, rain today to mkake the snow nice and wet and not it is freezing. Tomorrow the roads will be fullof pot holes.

An observation I've had on weather -- terms like "typical" and "average" don't mean that's the weather you can usually expect. Temperatures seem to spend more days near the extremes than anywhere around average, so "average" is just an arithmetic function and not necessarily what you should expect.

Unless you live in one of those places like Hawaii or Seattle, where the weather doesn't seem to change much at all.

I just talked to a friend of mine on Block Island, it was 50 degrees there today. Crazy you bet!

It went up to 49 here this afternoon. Between the rain and quick thaw, the ice in the canals is breaking up into big chunks. I might have to go to plan B and take precautious measures to protect my boat.

Wasn't there someone who said you don't have to worry about ice flow up there? Could've sworn I saw someone say that... no tidal flow... no ice... etc..

You should see my precautious measures.....'Major' Rube Goldberg.....

That was me. Freely admit it. I don't believe in hiding. However, the conversation was heavily misinterpeted. . .but I feel no desire to rehash.

I am 5-10 miles north of Dom. While the Bay seemed to be frozen over pretty well, there was not much ice in my lagoon last Sunday. There was no ice within 30' of my dock (The ice eater is set to run 2 x 2-3 hours each day). Not more than a skim on my half of the lagoon. . . .but that was influenced no doubt by all the ice eaters On my side, all my neighbors seem to have ice eaters. . I can't speak to the other side of the lagoon. . the ice did look appreciably thicker -more than mere skim- and there appeared to be a lower number of ice eaters deployed.

You fellows around Washington have the protection of Al Gore being there, so the weather should be on the above average area, no like us in Michigan with below average temperature.

NYC checking in... Cold as negative hell.

I watched 'Universe' on the Nat Geo channel. According to all of the 'experts' the universe is going to freeze in a mere couple of trillion years.....it's the law.

I'm gonna need a bigger ice eater!!!!

Or you can just take longer cruises.

I would LOVE to see 29 degree's right now. Its been soooooo coooold.
