2007 SFX10/2-RMT with SMXir control panel 10,000 BTU System stopped cooling and the compressor had ice on it, the saltwater pump stopped and had HI/PS or P5 on control panel. I'm trying to remove the pump do to base is cracked and I would like to fix or replace. it is not easy to remove. Help!!! is it time to call the pros.

Is the unit under the forward berth? If so just remove the entir unit to work on it. This is pretty easy since it's self contained. Do make sure you close the seacock for the water pump before removing and turn the breaker off and secure with tape or something (safety first!).

yes, the unit is in the cabin under one of the seats. I'm looking to remove the saltwater pump,it's base is cracked. thanks about remove the whole unit. seacock closed and hose plugged for safety and so I can use the boat also. 2007 280 Sundancer w/T-220.

I can not find electrical connect for pump so I can remove it, all hose are removed.

bad saltwater pump, found connection on bulkhead in front of pump.
