I was out for the one of my first trips yesterday. It was a warm, perfectly calm, sunny afternoon. The speedo was right at 30 mph... the music was on... the sun beaming on my neck and shoulders... I guess I was daydreaming a bit too. Then it happened... BANG! I could feel it in my seat! Then another bang as I quickly pulled back the throttles. At first I thought I hit something so I looked behind me and there was nothing in my wake. The engines were still running so I quickly hit the hatch button and waited as the hatch slowly opened... then I saw it... my fridge door had swung open and hit my seat!! LOL
I laughed all the way home!!

It was an emotional roller coaster... fear and then extreme concern, then sadness followed by extreme happiness.
The experience reminded me of my ex... :smt001

I can relate. First time out this year, I didn't have the fold down jump seats behind the helm station secured while in the upward position. Throttled up to plane and then "BANG...BANG". Both seats dropped one at a time. Scared the crap out of me!!

:smt043Magster65 didn't spill the beer did you??:smt043

And some ex's will do that to you or your wallet!!!!!

The door to the head on my boat does that when it is rough out. I have felt my stomach drop a few times from that thing swinging open and hitting the stairs! I would hate to think if I were to have a heart attack that would why........

Similar incident here!! In 5 footers leaving the Jones Beach Inlet there was a sudden crash of breakings glass in the cabin....thought I lost a hull window or two since I don't keep any glass on the boat....turns out the mircowave door flew open and the glass turntable popped out shattering on the wood floor!! Nothing a shop vac and $23 for a new turntable couldn't handle!!
