What do those of you that boat on the CT river use for anodes? Aluminum or Magnesium? I have been using Aluminum but in talking with a dock worker at our marina, he said that I should be using Magnesium. I have always thought that the water at Deep River was considered brackish but he said it was considered fresh water. Am I using the wrong anodes?

I use aluminum. I used to use Mg but they got eaten up too quickly. But I also travel into the salt a couple times a year. In block island, with the Mg I could actually witness the Mg getting eaten away at night with the underwater lights I have installed. Now that I switched to Aluminum, they still wear pretty good, but there's still some meat on the bone at the end of the season. With the Mg there would be nothing left.

BTW - are you still at deep river? I haven't seen you around.
