Current Lighthouse Charts vs. Navionics ( Non Fishing )

In process of updating our helm add in pair of Axiom 12 MFD's. The units come with current Lighthouse charts. I've read Raymarine Lighthouse has made significant upgrades. Still people prefer Navionics for pre-programming routes on Ipads. Has anyone have time on newer system for comparison. Appreciate your input. Mike

I thought you could do both? If I can ever get an update to take on my Raymarine MFD, per the docs I will have Navionics on it and will no longer need to use my (Android) phone.
