David Letterman is an obsessed A$$

Makes you wonder what MN will produce next in politics. What's Richard Simmons up to these days???

Maybe we'll find a community service leader with big ears and elect him president! Just kidding, that's obviously a ridiculous comment and could never happen. The president needs actual experience running something.

Hockey is huge in MN, maybe we'll get one of our hockey moms and put her on the ticket as candidate for vice-president. Oh wait, that's even dumber than my previous idea.

Maybe we need to send Jimmy Carter up there so he can run again as a MN Gov. :smt043

I don't think any state is immune from having a clown or two in office. We have Cynthia McKinney as a shining Example of Georgia politics! :smt021

Actually, the original intent was that "regular people" would be elected, serve, and then leave to resume their private lives again. Experience isn't worth a warm bucket of spit. You can't get experience being President until after you become President. By default, NOBODY is qualified for their 1st term as President.

Palin has common sense, good values, supports capitalism, and loves her country. That meets all of the requirements to be President. Obama doesn't meet any of those...

I'll say we can agree to respectfully disagree.

a) You don't want "regular" people running the country.
b) Experience IS worth a bucket of spit. In these times you need someone with stellar foreign relations skills at a minimum. Hockey moms don't have that, neither do community service leaders.
c) There are, in fact, a lot of people who are qualified for their 1st term. Like it or not, you need a politician to be president. Someone who knows what's going on internationally, someone our allies and enemies can trust, someone who knows the "system" in Washington....a politician. You don't want some regular person learning on the job.

Palin, in my opinion, has none of what you state...

a) No common sense: Quits her job to pursue a book deal
b) No values: Again, quits her job to pursue a book deal. That shows good ol' American stick-to-it-ness.
c) Supports her OWN capitalism. She's a classic opportunist who sold out in order to cash in.
d) Loves her country: I'll give you that one. Where else can she sell out in order to cash in?

My opinion is worth the paper this is printed on though.
