Can't seem to find the hose that belongs to the upper section of the hot water tank. SNC00323.jpgSNC00324.jpg
Please see pic.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!!

They're are both in your hand. Whoever winterized the tank removed the cold water feed line, and the hot water discharge line, from the water heater. These 2 lines were then connected together to allow for the pumping of antifreeze through the system. Hopefully, the hot water heater was drained and flushed as well.

Start by adding some water to the water tank, and flush all the lines until they run clear. You'll probably have to empty and fill the water tank several times until the water is nice and clean.

Next, disconnect the 2 hoses from each other, thread the nipple back into the water heater, and connect the 2 lines. Then add some more clean water to the water tank, and start flushing the boat's hot water system. It will likely take several flushes to remove all the residual antifreeze.

This may be a overkill post, but just in case….that water faucet on the water heater in the bottom left corner of the photo that looks like a faucet you would have on the outside of your house is NOT where you connect either water hose.

This faucet is for draining the water heater.

My apology if this post came off as insulting basic, that is not my intent.

Note in photo, faucet has no hoses attached.

Take the fitting in your hand apart by turning the white plastic piece and remove the metal nipple, the part with threads on both sides in the center.

In your photo on the far side of the water heater I see a threaded pipe with white tape. The cold water line fitting should be attached here.

Thread that metal close nipple into the threaded hole in the water heater above the faucet.

Next thread the final hot water line white plastic fitting onto the metal fitting you just put back on the water heater.

As presentation said. Make sure that you flush all of the pink anit-freeze out of your fresh water system before you attach those hoses to the water heater. Also, when you winterize at the end of the season, you can take the "black" hoses coming from the engine off and link them together using about a 6" long piece of 1/2" copper pipe. Do that and open the faucet to get all of the fresh water and engine heating water out of the water heater.
It looks like you have quite a bit of rust at the bottom of that heater, so, you may not have many years of life left in it.
