V8 300 HP Cox outboard weighs 866 lbs.

300 HP Merc weighs 600 lbs.

I’ve been watching this company too. Seems like the main benefit would be ability to generate more torque and swing a bigger prop. I kind of wonder how that works with an outboard arrangement - how big a prop can you actually get?

Oh, and better fuel efficiency. Big gas outboards are thirsty.
