Diesel Sea Rays of that size are pretty uncommon over here. Do you have a photo of the fuel fill to narrow down what it looks like? I could guess what a gas (petrol) cap might be based on the age, but not the diesel fill.
BTW, diesel caps are generally 2" in diameter. You might be able to find a standard-issue cap that works as a stop-gap until you find a match. You certainly don't want water getting in your fuel. I had to do that when, on my first fuel up on a new boat, a helpful passenger kicked the fuel cap. The chain broke and it went "kerplunk" in 20 feet of water.

In the interim, you can probably use a plumbing ABS plug to keep the weather out of the tank.
