I was recently going through my manuals looking for stereo info and noticed a note written on the back of the manual. It was written by someone who did a repair on the stereo system. It said, “by the way, the 12v refrigerator switch on the panel needs to be on to power the tv antenna”. I couldn’t believe it! Is this the reason I thought the antenna sucked! Did Sea Ray wire it that way or was it the previous owner? Anyone else have the same situation?

My 1988 340 had the TV antenna wired to the same breaker as the vacuflush system. I don’t know if that was original or previous owner changed it. It took me a while to figure that one out.

If you are talking about the Glomex TV amplifier, it came from the factory wired straight to the batteries like the CO detectors. There is a 3amp fuse for it behind the 12v portion of the electrical panel.

Sound like someone pulled power from somewhere else for it.

I’m going to look for that 3 amp fuse. If the note is correct it should be tied to the refrigerator switch.

In the back of your owner’s manual you will find electrical schematics that will show it all.

just replaced my Glomax with Shakesepare and yes on my 410 the amp was powered behind the fridge in the cabin, I changed that... 43 channels now, 30 latino. 10 religious 3 normal
