HAS ANYONE OR DOES ANY ONE KNOW OF A DINGHY LIFT THAT WILL WORK ON A 420AC. I HAVE A 2000 420AC AND TNT/FREEDOM LIFTS SAY THEY CAN'T/WON'T DO IT. MY DINGHY IS A 2018 WALKER BAY WITH A 50HP ON THE BACK AND WEIGHS AROUND 8-850LBS. I KNOW THERE ARE OTHERS LIKE DINGHY CADDIE AND SEAWEED, BUT HAVING HAD BOTH OF THESE IN THE PAST, NOT 100% SOLD ON THESE.
IF ANYONE HAS AN OPTION THAT WORKS I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN HEARING ABOUT IT.

THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT

I use one from thedinghydavit.com that should work. it's a hydraulic lift and they are custom made for your boat. Not cheap, but effective. You can see it below.

Did they tell you why they won't do it? Try calling SeaLift and ask for cradle version. I'd be guessing that the full platform version would exceed the limit. With a cradle, you might have a shot.

Perhaps an easier route would be to change out the dink for a lighter version.

I have an aortic aneurysm, aka the John Ritter killer. Not supposed to strain/lift with anything heavy.

Have an Achilles hypalon dink with a Hurley davit, using thier crank on winch system.

Simple

Easy

Nice

Had a cover made for the dink so the water spray while on plane doesn't accumulate.

Can't raise the bridge ?

Lower the river !

And reduce the hanging weight pushing/pulling/flexing your transom !

BEST !

I didn't even know they had a "Hurley H30 XL" but sure enough, it goes up to 1,000lbs.

You should consider calling Sea Ray before you get too far into which davit will work. The AC may be beefier than the Sundancer, but our transoms are not rated to support 1,000lbs+. I'm pretty well maxed out with mine with a 500lbs dink.

I'm also imagining your dinghy is going to be longer than your Sea Ray is wide when up with the outboard. That tends to create some rather unfavorable docking characteristics...

All good points. My Davit included under the platform support beams to the transom

I'm curious, how do you strap your dinghy down when expecting semi-rough water? I had a heck of a time coming up with a process for mine given how far aft the dink sits, yours would be even further. Do they dance quite a bit back there when it's choppy?

I guess the OP didn't like the answers or the comments on his screaming caps lock. Anyway.....the only way Freedom and TNT don't sign on is because of the transom.

850 pound plus another 600 or so for the lift and that is a lot of weight for a live load on the back of the boat.

Sea Ray would certainly have an opinion.

Wasn't there a movie with that name, our maybe just a famous line in the movie.

We have a 480 Sedan Bridge with the factory hydraulic platform. We have a 12' Caribe center console w 40 hp Yamaha. Overall weight puts us slightly over 800. I worry when I have to step on it while at the dock. I am about 200. So far it has held up well.

If I recall, yours is GHS lift. It's very nice setup, which I always liked on my buddy's 480. I don't think you should have any concerns stepping on it. We had 2-3 people on it when assisting each other unloading/loading dinghies during flotilla trips. BTW, he had the same Caribe 12 with 40HP.

No they didnt really get into it just that they would not install a system on this boat. AsI said I have used several didnt types of lifts/davit systems,as well as towing and most recently the Super HD model by Seaweed with the electric winch option and it worked very well. However you loose a lot of access to your swim platform. On our 450 dancer it was fine but on our 420AC we actually use our swim platform to set up chairs and relax at the water level. I have owned several different dingies with a variety of motor options. just an FYI I boat on Georgian Bay, with several trips up the North Channel and ocassionally we spend a few weeks in Northern Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. Towing is fine but it does limit your speed.

Really? - ok so I scared him off. My bad.

I hate when people do that all caps stuff, if my comments offended anyone? Grow a set. ...
A$$hole comments like this really define who you are.
