A new pump is 1KUS. I bought one last year because I was having problems. I got a rebuild kit including motor and diaphragm and rebuilt the old one. I now have a spare. The overboard pump on the boat is the same as the other two it has 4 duck bills. If you got a new one for 500 tell us where. No I want use the whole pump unit I'm in Canada . y spend $500. On a new one if I can convert what I have in stock.
First, verify that your discharge pump is a t pump. I assume because you are on fresh water, you can not use the discharge pump so you want to swap it with your vacuum pump? If it is a t pump, the nipple adaptors are left hand thread for a single duck bill. You won’t be able to get two duck bills on each side because the threads are right hand thread on the double duck bill nipple adaptors. You most likely will have issues with it holding vacuum With only one duck bill on each side. The t pumps are not required to hold vacuum, they just pump out the holding tank. I don’t know anyone that ever swapped the pumps to say one way or the other if it would work, but I suspect not, at least not correctly.Hi my3sons , thanks for that info. So can I use this as a vacuum pump, If i use the appropriate duckbill valves in the right position ?
