There's also 2' of swim platform with a covered port that I thought was for winching the drive but it's a ways back for that. I'll leave the port open on some pretext and see what transpires. Last week the water was "too cold to tinkle" and "not in my wet suit." We returned to the Club, as required. DSCN0224[1].JPG DSCN0225[1].JPG

That "port" is just a grab handle for slothing yourself back up on the boat using the swim ladder. That said, I don't see why you couldn't pee in it.

The hole in the platform is a pressure relief device. If you are in heavy seas or waves, seawater can move through the port instead of building enough wave pressure to rip off the platform. It’s also a hand hold.

The idea of it being to winch a drive is a new one...can’t really picture that scenario.

Could be, except that the little slots are not going to have enough emergency flow to protect the swim platform from a radical upswelling under it. However, the port cover was only held in by four Phillips screws. The cover could well be designed to strip the screwholds and pop out as an emergency relief valve. Think "Perfect Storm."

Its not for water it’s for air pressure. It helps reduce sound from waves at anchor a bit too.

Luggable Loos are intended as an accessory for a tent when camping in the wild.

No boat should ever go out without a "I can't believe its not butter" plastic container.

First thing a modded on my 2006 280 was epoxy those holes shut. We get annoying short period chop in Nantucket Sound. Waves would get under the platform and the spray would hit me at the helm. No, the platform didn't ripoff.

There once was a young lady from Nantucket whose jewel was lighted till she plugged it. When she sat on the loo, the sea turned blue, till the Coast Guard said, "Stop it!"

She thought it was an insulting idea. My timing may have been off. I replaced the decorative cover.

This is the correct answer... although not as much fun as some of the other ones...
