Has anyone used these Dometic Breathe Easy filters?
They claim -
I purchased one last summer. It was about $45 shipped for one filter. They suggest replacing every 2-6 months based on usage. Pricey for sure.
They actually filter so well that the instructions tell you how to turn up the fan speed one notch in the settings menu so the condenser doesn't ice up from low air flow. Anyway, I just pulled my filter to inspect because I noticed a drop in air velocity. Holy cow was this thing caked. I was blown away with how well it filtered. They aren't sold in a lot of places online and therefore they're somewhat hard to find. I just purchased another two filters for $80 shipped through West Marine (cheapest go figure). I reinstalled my old mesh screen while the new filter comes in the mail, but I figured let me hose this thing Breathe Easy filter off and see how well it cleans up. Well it cleaned up beautifully. I can't imagine it's electrostatically charged any longer, however, it may still do a decent job. Maybe I can put a few in rotation?
