I just had a suvery completed on a 97 300 sundancer with Vdrives. The boat has dripless shaft seals and one is leaking. I'm thinking about asking the seller to have this repaired or credit me for the repair. Has anyone had to replace/install them. I'm assuming its a pain in the ass since space is tight. what would you think labor is for one?

Thanks!

I helped a friend install these in a different boat a few years back and would never do it again as access was really tight. There were some issues causing us to go back in and it was no better the second time.

Have the seller do the repairs.

Either way, you n Ed to have fixed ASAP. The PSS system can be compressed a second time to stop leaking at the seal, but not with the Tides. If seller does it get receipts as others have mentioned or make sure you do it before you splash.
