We are switching to dry dock in March; thought I would get the cons of doing dry dock from those that have done it before. Looking forward to it but nervous at the same time. Thanks

Dry doc=dry stack? If so, I've been dry stacked for 13 years and it's been a good experience for me. I call ahead and when I arrive the boat's fueled and in a slip waiting for me. No sun or water damage and safe when I'm 3 hours away.

Sadler - yes, dry stack; thanks! -- Wesley

Ok Wesley, for me the cons are mainly that the boat gets coated with diesel dust from the forklift, you can't just pick up anytime and head for the boat--you have to give the marina notice so they can have the boat launched for you, and occasionally the boat can get damaged by the forklift (minor usually and the marina always pays where I am).
