If you're inland, it's likely overkill and will add a lot of clutter to your chart....If you are offshore, I think it's a pretty cheap investment.

That’s kind of my quandary. I’m neither inshore nor offshore. Most of my time is spent in Long Island sound. AIS would increase my spend by about 6%
