Eastport Yacht Club Saturday

My sister just sent me info about this event tomorrow(Sat 8/13/08) in Annapolis Harbor. Not sure if any of you down in that area might be interested (or are already going?) It looks like fun!

They really put on a good show. My wife and I, along with a group of fellow NJ boaters have traveled there from NJ for the past five years. Although unable to attend this year, I will be there next year. I believe Eastport Yacht Club has one of the nations oldest Christmas Boat Parades.

We have done the parade every year for the past 3 and off and on the 10 years or so prior. Its alot of fun. Since I have a baby due in 2 weeks we decided to not do the parade this year, and we are having a party instead at our store which is on the water in Eastport. There are lots of companies in our building that have parties so it should be a lot of fun. Plus we don't have to deal with pulling all the lights off a boat this year! Its always fun putting them on, but taking them off is always a pain!

Our marina's right next door and we had a nice turn out for our party. It was COLD out there watching the boats. Seemed like there were not as many as in previous years. The fireworks were great. Our 6 month old really got into watching them (from inside the nice warm clubhouse).
