I am looking at a new 2011 205 Sport. I plan to use the boat for weekend family fun (Tubing and ski use). I probably will average at least 4 people on the boat at all times.

I am undecided if it is worth the cost to upgrade to the 5.0 mpi over the 4.3 mpi?

Looking for some feedback from more experienced boaters.

Thanks

I bought mine last spring off the floor. After a lake trial I expected the 4.3 L mpi to be good. I found later that with 3 or 4 adults in the boat, it was slow to get a slalom ski going. Luckily, I don't do that too much so I'm OK. Tubing and wakeboarding are less of an issue.

Does the 2011 have catalytic converters on some engines? I wanted to avoid that expense and complexity.

Good luck.

Go with the 5.0

Bigger is always better :)

It would really be a shame to have a great boat and always thinking, 'Oh, I coulda had a V8'
