I have a 2007 320 sundancer with an open raw water cooling system on 2 mercruiser 350 mag mpi engines. I am planning on running barnacle buster through them via the strainer and let them sit for 4 hours per their recommendation and then flush the barnacle buster out. My question is does the solution with barnacle buster stay "full" and get all areas of the cooling during this soaking process or does it go down to a low point and not get all areas of the cooling system for the 4 hour soak? thank you

I had the same problem on my 496's. I have 1/2 fresh cooling and was able to rig up a flush system with a harbor freight pump and circulated the water for like an hour. See if there is a way to go from the outlet of the raw water pump then to the last point where the water feeds the exhaust manifolds without causing a problem. I can't find the diagram for you engine, but I posted this to give you an idea what I mean. Good luck.
