hello all

My engine hatch was working fine. Then dead. I found what appears to be a paddle bypass switch directly under the helm. It lifts the hatch, however very slowly and requires assistance. The switch located on the stbd helm switch panel does nothing. Looking for any insights anyone can provide. I’ve read there’s a 25 amp fuse somewhere but I can’t locate it.
Thank you!

Are you sure your batteries are charged? Sounds like a low voltage situation to me. If there was fuse you wouldn’t get any reaction from the hatch at all. There is a breaker that could be tripped for the switch pad. On the forward bilge wall there will be a black box with clear rubber “posts” next to their labeled functions, if the breaker is tripped it will be sticking out and needs to be pushed back in.

Thank you. Batteries are brandy new this year. All 4. Battery charger says they are all fully charged. Checked all breakers even reset them, none are tripped. Driving me crazy.

Do your other buttons on that side panel work? Could be the switch panel itself on the way out

Thanks for replying. All other buttons functioning properly.

The aft storage compartment on the starboard side when you board from the swim platform and the round cabinet just aft of the cockpit refrigerator both have small magnet switches in them that break the hatch circuit if they are open (to prevent the hatch from breaking the doors off). might want to ensure that the doors are closed fully and latched so those magnets are making contact. I can confirm that last week when I didn't have the door behind the fridge closed fully that i had no control of the hatch from the helm switch. as soon as I closed it, it worked perfectly.

Down at boat today. Found all the magnetic switches ( aft seat, stbd aft storage locker, and stbd curved door. All seem ok, wire splices all look good, even though I didn’t pull them apart. Looked at lift motors on hydraulic lift pistons. Saw stbd side motor, 1 bolt holding motor to case missing it’s nut. Case of motor seemed very loose although the bolts went thru to the back of the case. Wondering if this could potentially cause a poor ground on that motor, ( it’s on the stbd side where the 2 door magnetic switches are. Unfortunately I didn’t have the right size nuts to replace and tighten. Any thoughts on whether the case could provide ground to the switches? Nuts will be replaced tomorrow however if not this, really at a loss.

Also, does anyone know the part number for the reed switches?
