I did a search here and found some threads, but none where anyone had found the seal material. I'm getting a lot of noise from the hatch and I have looked at home depot and Lowes for some type of weather seal, but cannot find one that fits the original seal material for the boat. They are basically too small and I know thier self adhesive would'nt last long at all. In addition, the stuff I can find locally is not nearly as dense as the seals on my boat. I think they would be "chewed up" by rubbing fiberglass pretty quickly. My 270 came with the ~3" wide bye ~3/8" expanded rubber (I guess, or a high density foam) gasket material that was held in place by an adhesive backing. I still have some of the material, but not enough to do the entire hatch.

While I know the seal could be a different type, I just cannot seem to find locally something similar to the OEM material. Any ideas, or has anyone found a source?

I am looking for the same thing. I am ready to bite the bullet and pay the $5.25 ft from Marine Max..

Out of your parts manual (should be available online, as well), what is the part number for the hatch seal?

This stuff is not cheap, but it's also not made out of the standard foam you can buy at home improvement stores. It's much denser and more rubbery than foam - obviously a lot bigger, too.

Another option may be the seal that is used between a camper top and pick up truck bed. I had one a few years back that was pretty stout.

I still haven't found it. Anyone have any new findings? I searched but no direct matches,

I am looking for the same. If I read my parts list correctly, mine is 1 3/4 D foam. I could just re-stick it if I could find the double sided tape.

I think the foam density is critical. I have some of the old seal, but not enough. I would use contact adhesive versus tape to re-install if it were me.
