one of the things I need to address from my survey is an out of date inspection of my Halon system in my Engine Room. All works fine and the gauge is in the green. Has anyone used a service they would recommend on Long Island?
Thanks!

Cant recommend a particular shop, but any fire extinguisher shop should be able to inspect.
That's just weighing it and visually checking it for damage.
Hydrostatic test and refill will be more if needed. But yours is FE-241 clean agent.

You can save cost and some hassle IMO by taking the unit to your local extinguisher shop.
Just insert the safety pin in the hole for the manual release, unhook the manual cable, unplug the alarm switch.
Loosen the clamp and carry it in.

Wow... I didn't know that was all that is required.
Thanks Very Much @hughespat57 !

Call Cintas.
Gauge in the green doesn't mean much. It's the weight of the bottle that they certify to.
You could be almost completely out of the retardant and the gauge will still read in the green...

Thanks @ttmott
Is that agent eligible to be refilled? Or it it's no good I'm in for a new bottle of a replacement?
