Please be kind. I'm in Montana and its -6. So brain might be frozen.
I have a 1995 Select Series 220 curry with the 5.7 and alpha out drive.
So on a car you can change the muffler to get different sounding engine. Is there a way to do that on a boat?

Do you want it louder or quieter?

Your inboard/outboard boat doesn't have mufflers. The sound is muffled during cooling, but its mostly due to the fact that tne exhaust exists below the waterline.

Start it on land and you'll see or hear what I mean.

If it's louder you're after, it can be done, but it's a pretty big deal.

Thanks for the info.
