These guys must be reading a different history than I did. Sailors on their only shore leave for a year don't spend like FDR did. Have they not paid attention to economics the last 20 years that clearly and definitively prove that keynesian economics does not work?

Obama's designated chief of staff, Rohm Emmanuel (sp?) made the statement that the incoming administration shouldn't let a good crisis go to waste. The intent being, use the economic-financial crisis as an opportunity to expand the power and size of government, and to create a new New Deal that will entrench to Democrat Party in power for a long, long time.

oh . . . I could say something just to rile you guys up. . .but I will refrain.

Have a good Monday!

We could always add some water from the toilet to our beer to make it like American beer:smt043:smt043

 I would have to agree. American beer is swill.

I'd take a nice Molson over anything made here.

All of it is secondary of course to Guiness.

I know nothing about FDR, sorry for the hijack.

And that's why we have the kind of government we have. Thanks for the hijack. Couldn't have made the point better myself.
