Finally -- New to me boat coming soon

Yeah it was. Until about 1.5 hrs to go. Port engine has an alarm. One long buzz. Gages normal, but a few engine surges. Shut down for a bit. Tried again. About 10 min at idle, nothing. Went to 3200 ran for about 15 min then the alarm went off again. Shut down again. Started 20 min later and idled in for about two hrs. No alarms. Kinda scary but I made it.

That must have been frustrating. I remember my cruise home about an hour into it an alarm went off. I was freaked out. I called the owner from the water and it turned out to be a ambient air sensor fault - nothing really and we went on our way with no issues. I hope you find something simple after all this!
 
The new boat looks good. Sorry about the troubles getting across.

Are you going to keep the name or change it? Might get some sideways looks...

Name comes off as soon as I can get the heat gun up there this week. :)

I cruised over in the dinghy and visited Golfman. It looks very nice.

So like any boat, chasing a few gremlins. Got a fresh water pump that doesn't want to turn off. A remote oil filter hose that sprun a leak. And a "low oil pressure telltaile has been set" alarm. And since everything is new to me, it take me hours to figure out where the heck everything is. :)
