Hello everyone, glad to be here. Hoping I could get some technical advise as well. I have a 2002 SR 220 BR. We bought it new in 03 and have enjoyed neasrly 700 hrs. of fun. Wouldnt you know it, as soon as my extended warranty runs out I start having issues. The Dealer installed Lawerence depth gauge system has quit working. It started a few weeks ago being intermittent then quit all together. Fuse is good. Anybody have this problem? What was the fix?

Welcome aboard!

Holy smackers that's a lot of hours!!! Do you drive it to work every day?

Depthfinder: Start with this recent thread: http://clubsearay.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20920

Then, if still having a problem, please be more specific as to what the problem is.

Funny. No I dont drive it to work. We boat nearly every weekend here on Lake Travis. The thread link did not really apply as they were talking about the alarm or flashing displays. Mine doesnt even come on now. The fuse is good. Possibly the switch, relay? I have the multi switch panel on the right of the steering wheel. The fuse box has a series of relays, one being the Depth Gauge. When I switch on, say the lights, I can hear the relay clicking. Nothing for the D/G. Its stock and has worked for years. Just curious if someone else had the same problem before I put it in the shop.

Thanks, Dunno how much more specific I can get.:smt100

I hate to say it but I would dump the Lowrance for a Garmin unit. For our small boat fleet at work (we do coastal and estuarine research) the Garmins have been much more reliable than the Lowrance equipment over the years. We are gradually phasing out the Lowrance equipment when it breaks.
