Howdy,

2006 Sundeck 270 with an extended swim platform - I love this boat!
Not the greatest fishing boat but I make it work.

Anyone have a method for storing 6.5-7 foot one piece rods when not in use?
I don't mean in rod holders in the gunnels or attached to the Bimini supports, i mean out of harms way and preferably out of sight.

Thanks

Do you have room in the salon, on the ceiling? That's where we keep ours on the The Office.

Maybe use two-piece rods and store where they will fit? I have no idea why, but up here in Canada, two piece rods are much more common than one piece. I can understand that maybe for really hard fighting heavy saltwater fish, a one piece may be stronger (maybe?), but in my 58 years of fishing, I have never had a two piece rod break at the joint. I expect if a sundeck is your ride, you're not heading to the canyons or rigs for tuna.
