Fitting engine hours meter

Hi,

Picked up the 1998 270 DA, bought 50/50 with a mate, last Friday and am loving it so far, loads of good little projects to look forward to that will keep me very occupied.

One of the first jobs we want to do is fit an engine hours meter, it had a new engine/drive pack 2 years ago and had all new loom & dials put in at the same time but not an hrs meter.

Will source one that matches the rest of the dials but can anyone please explain how easy it is to wire in a hrs meter ?

One wire to ground, the other to switched ignition source. You can probably pull a switched ignition source from your other gauges. I believe its a purple wire, but check your manual.
