... I'm not trying to sound flippant but I didn't know that people still used fax machines. I'm trying to think of scenario where an email or email attachment couldn't replace a fax??

When doing real estate contracts and need to get them signed and returned ASAP. You would be amazed how many people do not have scanners.

I my case it is security and confidentiality. We must make sure some documents are transmitted only to the recipient and not digitized, allowing unrestricted distribution.
